What could be better than a rapidly evolving, increasingly reliable implementation of Perl 6, with an ever-growing problem-solving scope?
TWO such implementations, of course! :-)
While Rakudo is making great strides behind the scenes, adding such features as native types, a closer contact between compile-time and run-time, and large contact surfaces for optimizations... an implementation called Niecza is gearing up, and quickly gaining on the current champion among Perl 6 implementations.
Two implementations, each showing vitality and each with its own strengths. For those of us who follow along, things just got very, very interesting.
